Balkan presented his paper “Hünkar Sofası'ndaki 2010-2013 Yılları arasında Restorasyon Çalışmaları ve Yapılan İmalatlar sırasında ortaya çıkan yeni buluntular” at the II. International Turkic Arts, History and Folks Congress, which was held in Skopje, Macedonia in April 5-10, 2014, organized by the International Sarajevo University and Selçuk University.

Curator of the Harem Section at the Topkapı Palace Museum

Dr. Cimilli presented her paper “Topkapı Sarayı Harem Dairesi’nde Duvar Yazıları ile Harem Dairesi’ndeki Eğitim ve Kadınların Yaşamı Üzerine” at the II. International Turkic Arts, History and Folks Congress, which was held in Skopje, Macedonia in April 5-10, 2014, organized by the International Sarajevo University and Selçuk University.

Graduate Intern at the Getty Conservation Institute

Dinler presented his paper "A Site That Has Been Rearranged and Then Rehabilitated and Then Renewed: Major Urban Interventions on Fener and Balat Districts" at the 21st International Seminar on Urban Form - ISUF 2014, which was held in Port, Portugal in July 3-6, 2014.

He presented his paper "The Evliya Çelebi Way" in the European Pilgrimage Routes for Promoting Sustainable and Quality Tourism in Rural Areas, organized by Universita degli studi Firenze in Florence in December 4-6, 2014.
Serkan Gedük
Art Historian, restorator, and curator of the Section of Chinese and Japanese Porcelain at the Topkapi Palace Museum

Gedük presented his paper “Turkish Ornaments on Chinese porcelain” at the II. International Turkic Arts, History and Folks Congress, which was held in Skopje, Macedonia in April 5-10, 2014, organized by the International Sarajevo University and Selçuk University.
Dr. Muzaffer Özgüleş
Teaching Staff in the Department of Architectural Conservation at Plato Higher Education College in Balat, Istanbul

Dr. Özgüleş presented his paper “Osmanlı Hareminin En Çok Gezen Kadını: Gülnuş Sultan (The Most Travelling Woman of the Ottoman Harem: Gülnuş Sultan and Her Legacy)” at  the International Symposium “Writing Women's Lives: Auto/Biography, Life Narratives, Myths and Historiography” which was held in Istanbul (Yeditepe University) between April 19-20, 2014, organized by Women’s Library and Information Centre Foundation (WLICF) and Yeditepe University.
Dr. Emrah Şahin

Dr. Şahin has published his paper “Sultan’s America: lessons from Ottoman encounters with the United States” in the Journal of American Studies of Turkey (JAST) (ISSN 1300-6606).
Susanne Masters
Ph.D. candidate in Ethnobiology at the University of Kent

Masters gave a documentary presentation "Collectors and collected: edible orchids in Turkey" in the 14th International Society of Ethnobiology Congress "Chir Nor Zom Bu Ling -One Earth for All: Regenerating Biocultural Ecosystem Resilience," organized by International Society of Ethnobiology which was held in Lamai Gompa, Bhutan in June 1-7, 2014.
